Rhinoplasty – what is aesthetic nose surgery?

Rhinoplasty is a safe and low-risk procedure to improve the appearance of the nose and the functions by reshaping nasal bone and cartilage. The main purpose of rhinoplasty is to correct the nose aesthetically to fit the other properties of the face.

Approximately 100.000 people in Turkey are having rhinoplasty to improve their appearance.

Your nose must fit your face. If your nose has a hump, droopy nose, large or small look that seems disproportional, rhinoplasty is the perfect solution to solve these problems. Rhinoplasty (reshaping the nose) can change your appearance to increase your self-confidence and positively contribute to your health.

Before rhinoplasty, your doctor will examine your face and nose anatomy. You need to describe the nose in your dream to your doctor. Later, your doctor will compare your nose and cartilage structure, face shape and skin type with your demands. As a result, your operation will start after good planning.

If patients are experiencing nose deformations as well as breathing problems, it is possible to correct curvatures in the middle section and create an aesthetic nose that can breathe easily in one operation. Although there is a general misconception that nose reduction will cause breathing problems due to nasal congestions experienced after rhinoplasty in old times, there is no nasal congestion with modern surgical techniques.

Who can have a rhinoplasty?

The age limit for this operation is 18 years. Today, women can have the operation after 16 years old and men can have the operation after 17 years old.
